DASA and CIWG: A Pathway for Indian Students to Study Abroad

DASA - Direct Admission to Students Abroad



Direct Admission to Students Abroad (DASA) is a scheme launched by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to provide direct admission to foreign universities for Indian students. This scheme is specifically designed for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), and foreign nationals of Indian origin.

CIWG - Children of Indian Workers in Gulf


Children of Indian Workers in Gulf (CIWG) is another scheme launched by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. This scheme is specifically designed for the children of Indian workers who are employed in the Gulf countries. The aim of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to these students to enable them to study in India.

Under the CIWG scheme, students can apply for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering, technology, and management. The participating institutions include some of the top Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other premier institutions.

To be eligible for the CIWG scheme, students must have passed their qualifying examination with a minimum of 60% marks. They must also have a valid JEE Main score or equivalent examination score.
